Monday 23rd
The celebration of Christmas will kick-off by all of us joining together to decorate the Christmas tree, while savouring a glass of mulled wine. In the evening guests will be treated to a delicious three-course dinner created by our award-winning restaurant.
Tuesday 24th
Christmas Eve celebrations continue with an interlude of free time for guests to just take it easy in the morning; perhaps choosing to meander around the esker on their own, or to join a guided tour. A special Christmas porridge will be served at brunch. While enjoying brunch we will be able to listen to a broadcast of the traditional Declaration of Peace for Christmas from the city of Turku.
In the afternoon guests can partake in a traditional Finnish Christmas sauna by the lakeside, while enjoying the wonderous illumination provided by the multiple naturally crafted ice-lanterns. In the evening guests will gather together for a sip of eggnog followed by a splendid four-course dinner featuring a traditional Finnish Christmas ham.
Wednesday 25th
For a truly memorable experience, we strongly recommend getting up early in the morning to be awed by the exquisite Christmas morning candlelight service at the world’s largest wooden church in Kerimäki. Christmas service is at 7 a.m. at Kerimäki and 8 a.m. at the Punkaharju church. An early breakfast will be served to accommodate our guests wishing to attend these special services.
Also on the agenda for guests to enjoy is a traditional Christmas morning sauna, followed by a sumptuous brunch. A special afternoon tea service is also planned. In the evening we will tempt our guests with a fabulous four-course dinner to culminate our Christmas Day festivities.
