Take it easy for Christmas in Hotel Punkaharju. Here you can enjoy the unhurried atmosphere of the ridge area, enchanting nature, magical moments, and experience our kitchen’s Christmas meals accompanied by Hilpo’s family of musicians. The enchanting Christmas begins with the atmospheric Christmas concert of the charismatic Waltteri Torika, and the Christmas atmosphere is crowned by a unique Christmas Mass in the world’s largest wooden church in Kerimäki.

Friday 23.12.
Hotel Punkaharju’s Christmas celebration begins with a day sauna shift, after which we enjoy welcome toasts and decorate the hotel’s Christmas tree together. Craftsman Jouko Lehtikuuunen firing tree decorations and Waltteri Torikka’s Christmas concert.
Saturday 24.12. Christmas Eve
Sauna in the hotel’s idyllic beach sauna, listening to the declaration of Christmas peace and enjoying the unhurried atmosphere. Christmas lunch and dinner are enjoyed to the rhythms of the Hilpo family of musicians.
Sunday 25.12. Christmas Day
On the morning of Christmas Day, there is an opportunity to travel to the world’s largest wooden church, Kerimäki (20 minutes from hotel), for the traditional Christmas Mass. A small early breakfast is available for those attending the Mass. At the Christmas lunch, you will hear stories from the ridge and the hotel throughout it’s 177-year history, told by Saimi Hoyer. At the Christmas dinner, the atmosphere is set with Hilpo family of musicians.
Monday 26.12. Boxing Day
Enjoying brunch accompanied by violist Barbora Hilpo and pianist Marko Hilpo.

The package includes a three-night stay with full board (breakfast, welcome toast, 3 x dinner, 3 x lunch, snacks + mulled wine), a sauna once a day and a Waltteri Torikka concert, Hilpo’s concerts and a Christmas program. For an additional fee, you can book a sauna and an outdoor jacuzzi for private use.
